Privacy Policy

What we collect

• Account: your sign-in identity (Google, Apple, email or a guest account) handled through Supabase Auth. From Google we receive only your name, email and profile picture, never your birthday or gender.
• Profile: display name, preset avatar, birth year, and optionally your gender and the topics you like.
• Country: the region set on your device, used to show prices and understand where players are.
• Gameplay: matches, answers, timing, scores, ratings, achievements and reports needed to run fair games.
• Payments: the plan you bought, amount, date and Razorpay order and payment IDs. Card, UPI and bank details go directly to Razorpay; Quix never sees or stores them.
• Notifications: a push token only after you agree, plus your category choices and delivery status.
• Feedback: messages you send us from Settings or the results screen.
• There is no open chat and no photo uploads.

Why we use it

• To sign you in, run and score matches, keep leaderboards up to date and prevent cheating.
• Birth year: to apply the age rules below. Gender and interests: only in aggregate, to understand who plays and which topics to add. They are never shown to other players and never used for ads.
• Payments: to give you Premium, prevent fraud, handle refunds and keep tax records.
• Notifications: only the categories you switched on, at most three a day, never in your quiet hours.

Who we share it with

Supabase (database, sign-in, hosting), Google and Apple (sign-in), Firebase Cloud Messaging (push notifications) and Razorpay (payments). Each processes data only to provide its service to us. We do not sell personal data. If we add ads, ad partners will only ever serve non-personalised ads and never to players under 18.

Ads: when ads are switched on, Google AdMob (apps) or Google AdSense (website) shows non-personalised ads to players aged 18 and over who don't have Premium. Google may use your device's advertising ID for this. Players under 18 never see ads.

Players under 18

• Under India's DPDP Act anyone under 18 is a child. For players aged 12 to 17 we send no marketing notifications, show no ads, and do not use their data for behavioural tracking or profiling.
• Players under 12 cannot create an account.

Your rights and choices

• See, correct or delete your data: edit your profile in the app, or delete your account in Settings → Delete account. Game history is anonymised; payment records are kept for the period tax law requires.
• Withdraw consent for notifications at any time in Settings → Notifications.
• Complaints: write to our Grievance Officer through Settings → Send feedback. We reply within 30 days. If you are not satisfied you may approach the Data Protection Board of India.

Keeping it safe

Data is encrypted in transit and stored with access controls. We keep gameplay data while your account is active and delete or anonymise it after you close your account.

Complaints and grievances

Send a complaint from the app: Settings → Send feedback → Complaint.

We acknowledge complaints within 48 hours and resolve them within 30 days.
